This page lists the minimum exclusion periods.
- If antibiotics prescribed: First two days at home
- Conjunctivitis: None
- Vomiting: If sent home ill child must be off for 48hrs
- Diarrhoea: 48 hrs (varies)
- Immunisations: 24 hours
- German Measles: (Rubella) 5 days from onset of rash
- Glandular fever: None
- Hand, foot and mouth: Until well
- Head Lice: None
- Hepatitis A: Exclusion may be necessary
- Impetigo: Until lesions are crusted and dry
- Measles: 5 days after onset of rash
- Meningococcal: Until recovered from illness
- Molluson Contagiosum: None
- MRSA: None
- Poliomyelitis: Seek advice
- Ring worm: Until treatment started
- Scabies: Until treated
- Shingles: If rash is weeping and cannot be covered
- Bacillary(Shigella): 48 hours
- Chicken pox: until completely scabbed over
- Cold sores: None
- Conjunctivitis: None
- Cryptosporidiosis: 48 hours
- Diptheria: Seek advice
- E.Coli: 48 hours
- Slapped cheek: Until clinically well
- Food poisoning and diarrhea(inc Samonella): 48 hours
- Steptococcal Infection(inc Scarlet fever and some Tonsilitis): 5 days after starting antibiotics
- Thread worm: None
- Tuberculosis: Until declared none infectious
- Typhoid asnd Paratypoid: Seek advice
- Verruca: None
- Whooping Cough: 5 days from start of treatment or 21 days from onset of cough
